Blog Social Networking

Technology this day and age is advancing very quickly. The internet is our source of communication in our daily lives. Social networking in the workforce can be used prior to employment through the social networking site LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a widely popular platform that is used in the corporate community as an online resume. Recruiters scout future employees and people scout their future employers on this website. The benefits of social networking platforms like Facebook and Twitter is that they help us feel connected to our friends and family. These websites the offer entertainment, news, markets, and much more. The down side of these websites is that your privacy can be hacked and people can get control of your account which contains personal information. They can be used as a way to procrastinate as well and can be counter productive. In the future I believe we will continue to use these platforms and they will not be outdated. Recently the platform Snapchat lost a lot of users because of their upgrade that people were not happy with. It is interesting to see how fast a company can lose users due to something simple.

  1. I agree that social networking sites help us keep in touch with our family and friends but also makes people procrastinate. I can relate to this because of how many times I find myself scrolling through Facebook for hours when I am suppose to be studying!
